Day 1
Richards Bay to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve
We travel north from Richards Bay to Hluhluwe – Imfolozi Game Reserve.
Established in 1895, Hluhluwe – Imfolozi Game Reserve is the oldest proclaimed game reserve in Africa. The park is 96 000 hectares of wilderness area made up by different topographic areas and vegetation. It is a BIG 5 reserve, which is world renowned for its Rhino conservation programmes. The park boasts the largest population of white rhinos in the world.
We check in at the Hilltop Resort for the next two nights. Relax and unwind with the view of Hluhluwe’s rolling hills.
At 17h00 we set off on a night drive to look for night predators on the prowl and where you can enjoy the evening drive whilst observing the night behaviour of animals. Dinner and evening at leisure.
Day 2
At 06h00 we set off on a 2.5 hour morning safari walk, where we get an opportunity to feel the thrill of viewing game on foot. It is the closest we will get to nature.
We get back in time for breakfast.

Day 3
Hluhluwe – St. Lucia
On our final day at the game reserve we go on safari in an open vehicle at 06h00. Breathe in the crisp winter morning freshness and feel alive as we meander through the rugged terrain.
Arrive back at Hilltop for breakfast, pack up to leave to our next wonderland, St.Lucia.
Proclaimed a world Heritage park in 1999, this wetlands wonderland boasts with one of the richest biodiversity’s in Southern Africa. Explore Isimangaliso World Heritage Park, as it is called now, from the deck of a boat cruising up Lake St Lucia. Hippos snort as we glide past them in the murky waters and on the banks a crocodile slips into the water. 450 Bird species can also be found in this area making it a birders paradise.
Arrive in St. Lucia. Take a little tour around the town and then hop onto a boat for the sunset Hippo/Croc Cruise.
Joined by your host, for a lovely dinner on St. Lucia’s Main Street. If we lucky a hippo may do a walk by to greet us good night.
Dinner, Bed & breakfast accommodation in St. Lucia. Have an evening at leisure.
Day 4
After breakfast we leave St. Lucia and head back to the industrial town of Richards Bay.
